Salou (Tarragona), 3 February 2023 - On 14 and 15 April, the RACC will organise the seventh edition of the Rally Catalunya Històric, a regularity event for classic vehicles that takes place on closed roads. Today, February 2, the entry period has opened through www.rallycatalunyahistoric.com.
In this 2023 edition, the rally will have around 150km of controlled regularity of the total 500km rally. As in previous years, the selective itinerary will be designed around 10 of the most emblematic stages where the speed race for modern racing cars is usually held.
As usual, the 7th Rally Catalunya Històric will be held at the Passeig Marítim Jaume I in Salou and there will be three types of participation: Legend (exhibition), Regularity (55 km/h) and Regularity Sport (70 km/h). To complete the magnificent atmosphere that will reign in Salou throughout the weekend, a meeting of classic cars will be held on Saturday 15, open to all enthusiasts. The participants, after gathering at the park and leaving from the same podium as the rally teams, will take a non-competitive route and drive one of the stages.
The Rally Catalunya Històric was born in 2017 with the aim of consolidating itself as an emblematic event with its own personality. In these six consecutive years, the best specialists in regularity with classic cars have taken part in the RACC event. The last winners were Josep Maria Bardolet - Carles Jiménez (Seat 124 Especial 2000, 1978) in Regularity, and Ramon Dalmau - Antoni Moragas (BMW 325i, 1988) in Regularity Sport.
