"1st Open Regularitat Catalunya - Costa Daurada".
The RACC, organiser of this Rally Catalunya Històric, and the Escuderia Baix Camp, organiser of the Rally Costa Daurada Legend Reus (9-10 June), have created the "1st Open Regularitat Catalunya – Costa Daurada". Of the crews registered for the rally, the top 10 in each category (Regularity or Regularity Sport) will score points towards the final classification of the Open. The points obtained in the Power Stages, a stage in each leg of each rally that will award extra points to the top 5 fastest times, will also be added up.
Volant RACC Clàssic
Another great attraction of the 7th Rally Catalunya Històric will be the 'Volant RACC Clàssic', a category open to drivers with no limitations of age or experience, but who must have registered with models that have participated in the Volant RACC from the year of its creation, 1979, until 1993, its 15th edition. Like the rest of the participating vehicles, the teams entered in the 'Volant RACC Clàssic' must be included in one of the regularity categories.
Of the participants, 8 have chosen to be included in this category. A highlight as car 0 is the presence of the winner of the 1988 Volant RACC, Jordi Ventura. Accompanied by Gerard Alsina, he will drive one of the 150 hp Peugeot 208 VR PureTech 1.2 that the current participants of the Volant RACC - Trofeu Mavisa drive. Also taking part will be Antonio Rius, winner in 1982, and Mia Bardolet, who won the 1985 Volant RACC.
The 7th Rally Catalunya Històric will start on Friday 14 at 5.30 pm from the promenade of Salou, where it will also finish its first stage from 9.30 pm. On Saturday 15, the rally will take place between 9.30 am and 6.00 pm, with a neutralisation at 1.25 pm in Santa Coloma de Queralt.
Early on Saturday morning, the '2a Trobada RACC de Cotxes Clàssics' (2nd RACC Classic Car Meeting) will be held at the starting point, which will bring together around 100 vehicles. The Trobada is open to any fan who wants to live the sensation of being in a parc fermé, go up to the podium with his/her car and drive 60 km on a closed road through the first stage of the Rally Catalunya Històric.
